Goodbye Karl!
It's the 4th of July and I feel like doing anything except celebrate my country. I am utterly ashamed of the actions of my country, and I certainly don't want to take my children to some neo-con propagandism masquerading as patriotism. I also didn't want to deprive my kids of the fun of fireworks, but also didn't want to act like we were supporting the actions of our country. I wanted to have a celebration that made a statement. That was when the idea of Karl was born. Karl Rove -- take this!

Karl was our first attempt at a paper machie neo-con. We started with balloons and lots of duct tape.
Then we moved outside for the paper machie part.

We started the festivities with a bbq.
then we moved inside to prepare to light Karl up. CT got into the fun a bit early.
