All about Asiza
Welcome to Asiza's page! Asiza is twelve years old and joined our family on June 20, 2006.
School
Asiza is in fifth grade at Polton Elementary School in Aurora Colorado. Her teachers are Ms. Broach and Ms. Parkhurst. When she is not in school, she loves to play with her sisters and her dogs. She also loves dancing and singing along with her ipod, and playing video games. She is growing into a very sweet and polite young lady.
Adoption
Asiza's adoption finalized on January 31, 2007!
Interests
Asiza likes to read books, color, do art projects and to play in her room.
When she has someone helping her stay on task, Asiza does beautiful artwork. One of her pieces is featured on the homepage for ARTS of Recovery which is a mental health anti-stigma campaign in Colorado.
Her favorite movie is Hairspray. She loves dogs and soccer. Her favorite color is blue. Her favorite foods are frosted flakes, cheeseburgers, and macaroni and cheese.
Asiza likes playing soccer and baseball. She plays baseball with the Mile High Miracle League, and will start soccer with the NSCD development league. Asiza keeps herself busying practicing her dribbling and catching skills, and is learning to ride a bike and roller blade.
History
Asiza lived with her birth family until she was six and a half years old. She was then placed in foster care with Miss Mary and Mr. Wes. She lived with them for four years. Part of that time Asiza's biological sister Taleah lived with her, and she maintains contact with Taleah who was adopted by another family. While Asiza was rumored to be shy and quiet before she moved here, we have all joyfully learned that is not true at all!
